Rebecca earned her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in 2016, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1999. Rebecca completed her graduate counseling internship at the Savannah College of Art & Design Counseling and Student Support Services Center (CS3). Rebecca started as a full time Staff Therapist at the Georgia Southern University Counseling Center in April 2016. She returned to SCAD as a full time Staff Counselor and Suicide Prevention Coordinator in 2017. Rebecca became a fully licensed LPC in the state of Georgia in 2019.
Rebecca's clinical interests include mood disorders, personality disorders, interpersonal issues, and complex trauma. Her therapeutic background is influenced by existential theory, psychodynamic theory, mindfulness/acceptance, dialectical behavior theory, and internal family systems.
Rebecca also has fifteen plus years experience in magazine photo directing, art career guidance, artist management, and educational lectures.
Rebecca is forever obsessed with analog photography, vinyl, 70s rock, heavy metal, and cats.
